I know what it’s like when life gets in the way—raising kids, aging parents, moving from one place to another, medical emergencies, teenagers, the ever-evolving learning experience that ADHD is and none of it EVER feels convenient.

Some things to know about me: I’ve never lived without pets! I was raised in the South, spent most of my adulthood in Brooklyn and have called Los Angeles my home for the last 7 years. Along the way, I’ve lived in small spaces, open spaces, spaces with and without storage. 14 years ago I became a Mom. For the last 20 years my best friend has been my life long partner. The three of us and all of our pets have all lived and created, together in each of these places that we’ve lived! I’ve had to get creative with my problem solving along the way. Now, its just part of who I am. Most of what I know about organizing has come from dealing with myself and with my own family. It’s basically my origin story.

Creativity comes naturally to me. Whether I’m gardening, writing or taking terabytes of photos, it all comes from the same place of creativity. Organizing is no different for me and it calms me in the exact same way that creating does. Where you might see a mess, I see a creative solution waiting to happen. If you’re creative too, you know how cathartic it can be BUT it almost always comes with a whole lot of stuff. Things can get crazy, fast. Most of us are one emergency away from living amongst our own piles and great ideas. When it happens, It takes a whole lot of effort, energy and time to get us back on track. Sometimes we don’t have all of those in an endless supply. Its hard to be the person you want to be when your environment feels like its calling you a failure. I know because I’ve ben there.

I, too, have a weakness for good taste, Home Goods and Marshalls. We all have our thing, right? In a world full of judgement, I try to be a helping hand.
